LoadStart - Automatic Generator Starting/Stopping System
LoadStart - Automatic Generator Starting/Stopping System
Loadstart is ideal for power applications where starting and stopping the generator manually is inconvenient. It provides significant fuel savings.
Significantly Reduces Fuel Consumption
LoadStart is a really cost-effective solution for controlling generators. The system can significantly reduce fuel consumption and maintenance because it governs when the generator will run i.e. only when required.
LoadStart senses when a load is applied and automatically starts the generator. When the load is taken away, the system automatically senses the change and automatically turns off the generator. The flexibility of Loadstart means that virtually all loads or mixtures of loads will work with the system. LoadStart is very convenient because it removes any need to manually start and stop the generator to provide for loads being applied and then taken away.
Security Lighting Feature
LoadStart also provides the special security function that allows sensor controlled security lighting to be connected to the system so that if a sensor detects an intruder, the generator is switched on activating the security lighting. As an added extra, the system can be augmented to include its own light sensor meaning that any connected security lights only come on at night.
Must-Run & No-Run Periods
Another special feature of the LoadStart allows the user to program any generator for "must-run" periods during the day. The must-run periods override the load sense operation and keep the generator running for a pre-set duration. Must-run periods would be used when there are loads being applied regularly and intermittently and it is more convenient to have continuous operation. The real time clock can also be programmed for "no-run" periods. The no-run periods override the load sense operation and prevent the generator starting for the pre-set period. No-run periods would be used when loads may be applied that would normally start the generator. This could be used to prevent the generator running if a site was closed or underutilised.
LoadStart can work with all auto-start generators of any manufacturer. If you have a generator that is started using a key, it can probably be upgraded to auto-start. Alternatively, if you generator is old and needs replacing, a Powerguard auto-start generator is the required solution – see our range of generators. The Powerguard LoadStart system is manufactured to operate in arduous industrial or domestic conditions and is very rugged and reliable. The system is ideal for many applications including domestic, building sites, construction sites, small businesses and remote locations.
