Powerguard PS System - The Fully Integrated Off-Grid Power Solution

This is the ultimate solution for domestic scale off grid power production. If your considering either building or buying an off-grid property, the PS System is the solution for you. Every component in this innovative system is geared toward maximising fuel savings and minimising the total cost of ownership.

The Powerguard fully integrated power solution offers the ultimate in balanced power production for off grid locations such as domestic and small & medium sized business properties. Comprising a highly efficient generator matched to the Powerguard PS System along with robust deep discharge batteries, this micro-generation system is optimised to provide reliable, guaranteed 220/230V power with the lowest running costs.

System Configurations

Available in various sizes and outputs, the highly efficient Powerguard 12kVA single phase generator and 3kva PS System is suitable for domestic premises such as a four bedroomed property. For larger properties or small – medium businesses which attract higher power consumption; we recommend the Powerguard 18kVA single phase generator and a 5kVA PS System.

Other options and bespoke packages tailored to individual requirements for larger or complex projects are available on request.

PS Combined Heat & Power (CHP) System

To operate further efficiency, an option on all Powerguard generators is to utilise a Combined Heat & Power (CHP) configuration to recover up to 90% of available energy - a generator can produce 2kW of heat for every 1kW of electricity. The CHP system can capture and store this otherwise wasted heat from the generator exhaust pipe and cooling jacket meaning hot water for space heating and mains can be provided. Essentially, the hot water is created as a by-product of producing electrical power i.e. hot water is obtained for free!

Additional Renewable Options

The sophisticated microprocessors in the PS System can include additional battery charging from renewable electricity generators such as wind turbines, hydro generation systems, or solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. This option offers further fuel saving (carbon reducing) enhancements and results in a reduced need to run the generator. The CHP System can also use any renewable energy inputs to directly heat water inside its hot water heat store.

Future Energy Wind Turbines

As an option of the fully integrated PS System, with or without CHP, we can offer our customers the 1kW upwind turbine, one of the most cost effective systems of its kind on the market.
