Most of us take for granted electricity on tap 24/7 and we accept that the only way to guarantee this when off-grid is to have an engine driven generator but using a generator to power your property means that you either have to leave it running most of the time or start it as and when required. The first uses a lot of fuel and the second is very inconvenient.

Powerguard PS Systems automatically make electricity available 24/7 at the same time reducing the need for the generator to run. On a typical mixed load application such as a domestic property our systems will automatically manage the generator and by running it less than 30% of the time will reduce the fuel and maintenance costs dramatically.
The system uses the surplus power from the generator to charge the battery and then uses the stored power to automatically run the inverter to provide pure sine wave AC power when the generator is not running.

Further beneficial carbon reducing enhancements can be achieved by using bio-diesel or vegetable oil to run the diesel generator and using wind or solar photovoltaic (PV) panels to charge the battery. Additionally, the waste heat from the generator coolant can be used to provide heating and hot water via a heat exchanger.

NEW - Due to customer demand we now offer  complete domestic 12kVA  and 18kVA single phase Generator/Powerguard PS System packages. This further reduces running costs by using a highly fuel efficient diesel which consumes less than 4 litres per hour at 100% load .
